Assistant Coach

Dean Steffey

Coach Steffey, grew up in the East Valley, played at Mesa Westwood for the legendary Tom Bennett, and competed against the Tempe Buffaloes, coached by Sam Duane Sr. Coach Steffey successfully coached numerous junior teams, and was invited by Tom Bennett to join the Gilbert High men's basketball staff in 1998. He worked there for 7 seasons, and was a member of the staff that guided Gilbert to the 5A State Championship in 2003. This year will be Coach Steffey's fourth year as an assistant coach with the Aztecs basketball team.

Chris Zeller

This is Coach Chris Zeller's first year coaching at Corona. He played basketball at Mission Viejo High School in California all four years and coached there for three years before moving to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. He will be graduating next fall from ASU with a degree in Business Communication.

Coach Zeller lists one of his greatest achievements as part of an undefeated team his senior season at Mission Viejo. He is looking forward to a similar season at Corona
